Dr. Mitchell is a urologic surgeon with a broad interest in general urologic care, providing treatment for patients of all ages, including men, women, and children. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology with a focus on neuroscience from the University of Maryland, College Park. She went on to receive her medical degree from West Virginia University, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Mitchell completed her urologic surgery training at West Virginia University as well. She has authored numerous journal articles and published multiple urologic surgical videos.
Dr. Mitchell’s clinical interests encompass a broad spectrum of conditions, including stone disease, upper tract cancer, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, benign prostatic hypertrophy, voiding dysfunction, hydroceles, male and female urinary incontinence, and vasectomy. Dr. Mitchell performs robotic surgical procedures as well such as robotic nephrectomy, robotic partial cystectomy, and robotic prostatectomy.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Mitchell enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and their many pets. In her free time, she enjoys whitewater rafting, running, hiking, biking, camping, and skiing. With family roots in the Boise area through her grandmother, Dr. Mitchell looks forward to reconnecting with the region and contributing to the local medical community. She is also fluent in Swedish.
She holds medical privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Centers in Boise and Nampa, as well as at West Valley Medical Center.
